Mr. Keen took his Ceramics 2 class to the UNA fine art department for an opportunity to see what a college level studio looks like and the kind of work that more advanced students are pursuing. Mr. Keen went to the gallery for a group critique, toured the studios within the arts complex, learned about the various programs (digital media, photography, sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, and ceramics) and got to see some work in all of those fields. The class learned about different kilns and firing styles available at the university as well as different process that the students could try at DHS if so desired. The students were given demonstrations by BFA Ceramics majors in glazing techniques and also on the pottery wheel.
