Several construction projects are planned in the coming months. During Tuesday night's board meeting, Superintendent Dr. Michael Douglas presented the contracts in lieu of hiring a replacement for Lee Edminson, the former Construction Projects Manager. Edminson left Decatur City Schools at the end of August.
Those projects include:
- Austin Jr. High - canopy and roofing project - Fite Construction Co. will oversee.
- Chestnut Grove HVAC Phase III – Fite Construction Company will oversee.
- Decatur Middle School Auditorium Rigging – Fite Construction Company will oversee
- Career Academies Building Project – Gordian, Inc. will oversee
