Pryor Airport Field trip

8th grade gifted students from Austin Jr high and Decatur Middle School explore career options.

On Friday, September 9th, over 70 gifted 8th graders travelled to Pryor Regional airport to learn about careers in Aviation/Aerospace and what impact the Pryor Field Regional Airport has on the Tennessee Valley.

These students will continue exploring program and career options on Thursday (9/15) when the Robotics Technology Park visits the DMS campus sharing the vast opportunities RTP has to offer.

These experiences along a close study of the book “What Color is Your Parachute?” are fulfilling a grant awarded by the ALSDE to our DCS gifted program. Thank you, ASLDE Gifted!
